AMERON Hamburg Hotel Speicherstadt
SOS-Kinderdorf Hamburg

As a long-term partner of the SOS Children's Village Hamburg, the AMERON Hamburg team supported the HAFENFEST FÜR FAMILIEN at the beginning of June 2023. With delicious bowls and various vegetable toppings, Chef Christopher Gieritz with Junior Sous Chef Niels Wölter put a smile on the faces of numerous children. We are pleased to have been involved in our ❤ project again this year as a long-term partner and say THANK YOU to everyone for a successful event and their active support!

Trash Hero - Clean Up Days

We took part in the Season Kick Off of Lucerne Hotels with 11 team members of the AMERON Lucerne Hotel Flora under the motto A Green Promise and set an example against waste together with Trash Hero World.

About 75 employees from Lucerne hotels took part. Within 2 hours, we went on a tour through Lucerne in 8 teams and collected rubbish.

More than 3,000 cigarette butts were picked up in the city within 2 hours. Important to know: 1 cigarette butt contaminates 100 litres of water...

Trash Hero has a monthly Clean Up Day and we as a team have decided to participate regularly.

BlechWech

We became aware of the "BlechWech" campaign, which has been recycling crown caps since 2018. On the one hand, of course, to protect the environment and act more sustainably, but above all to benefit from it.

The proceeds from the collected bottle caps are currently being used to support the mother-child clinic in Mogadishu, Somalia, via the SOS Children's Villages and to finance important vaccinations! We think this is a great campaign - especially when you realise how easy it is for us to support and how many crown caps are collected every day through active collecting!

A big thank you to all active collectors of Team Regent.

Herb patch & support for a local football team

You can also set green accents in a Motorworld:
Chef Erik of the BACiO della MAMMA gets his Italian fresh herbs from the specially planted herb bed on the BACiO terrace.

With an advertisement in the club newspaper of ESV Freimann eV München, whose club grounds are just a minute away, the AMERON München Motorwolrd not only draws the attention of local residents to the BACiO, but also supports the youngest members: the ESV's E-youth football team with an urgently needed new kit.

Lucerne City Festival - Luzern Hilft

As part of a successful city festival in Lucerne, the BACiO della MAMMA collected 606 Swiss francs for a good cause.

On the two event days of the Lucerne City Festival, we were pleased to welcome a total of 606 guests at BACiO della MAMMA. As part of our fundraising campaign, we donated one Swiss franc to the "Luzern Hilft" foundation for every one of these guests!

We are proud to be part of such a committed city. #FromLucerneForLucerne

myclimate
our partner

The international initiative with Swiss roots is one of the world's quality leaders in voluntary climate protection funding. With projects of the highest standard, myclimate supports measurable climate protection and sustainable development worldwide. Emissions are reduced by replacing fossil fuels with renewable energies, realising local reforestation measures with small farmers and using energy-efficient technologies.

Althoff Hotels supports the Gold Standard certified myclimate project "Forest conservation through efficient cook stoves in the Himalayas". The project aims to reduce deforestation in the Himalayas and to support the local population.

This climate protection project involves the installation and maintenance of improved domestic cook stoves in remote areas in the Garo Hills in India. The stoves have improved combustion, resulting in less wood consumption for cooking, reduced carbon emissions, decreased indoor air pollution and less deforestation. At the same time, the project will enable communities to save time and invest resources and efforts into developing sustainable and homestay tourism as the villages are located near national parks.

Corporate Volunteering Plantvent

In April 2024, the AMERON Luzern Hotel Flora had the fantastic opportunity to take part in the corporate volunteering plant event organised by MYBLUEPLANET's MyBlueTree initiative. Together with other companies and organisations, we were able to actively do something for climate and environmental protection and at the same time strengthen team spirit. MYBLUEPLANET's vision is clear: "Active together for a climate-friendly tomorrow."

The day started with a short journey on the Sonnenberg Bahn Kriens railway to the Sonnenberg Hotel Kriens. After a welcome and a short introduction as to why trees are so important for climate protection, the group was divided into 3 teams:

Group 1 was allowed to protect seedlings from forest animals, such as deer, with fences. Group 2 planted up to 100 seedlings of beech, lime and wild cherry trees in the forest with the forester and tree expert. Group 3 built bee hotels, which they were even allowed to take home and hang up in the hotel.

The AMERON Luzern Hotel Flora would like to thank MYBLUEPLANET for the great initiative and the opportunity to take part in this inspiring event.
