St. James's Hotel and Club reopened its doors in 2008 after a two years’ refurbishment, with a complete new look created by the famous interior designer Anne Maria Jagdfeld. She combined the traditional English style of this beautiful Victorian building with a contemporary touch e. g. The palette throughout is a subtle spectrum of soothing neutrals and materials are as sensuous and indulgent as the colour scheme. Marble and velvet, silk and leather, cashmere and lacquer glisten and shimmer beneath the carefully orchestrated lighting. The St. James’s Hotel and Club also features a private art collection of more than 400 paintings and art pieces (impressionist, expressionist and cubist works and photographs from Europe).
