After redesign of the lobby and restaurant by Jagdfeld Design, the 5 star Seehotel Ueberfahrt was reopened as an Elegant Nature Resort in December 2009. Precious woods and classic-modern facility in combination with elegant earth tones create a comfortable atmosphere. The landscape and tradition of the Tegernsee valley were implemented in the design concept by correspondent choice of materials, colors and art objects.
The luxury hotel provides 134 elegant rooms and 54 exquisite suites, all mainly characterized by generosity. Enjoy the benefits of luxury and comfort with a wide view of the lake or the mountains in rooms with a size of 40 and up to 200 square meters
Enjoy pure relaxation in the Beauty & Spa area of the hotel. On more than 2,000 square meters you will find an in-and outdoor pool, seven saunas and steam baths, twelve massage and treatment rooms, a jacuzzi, a children's swimming pool, a Kneipp basin, a relaxation room with loungers and a pool bar serving fresh juices and snacks. The professionally supervised fitness area offers cardio equipment, water aerobics, body diagnostic analysis and personal coaching staff.

Guests of Seehotel Ueberfahrt may choose between four different restaurants. Each restaurant has its own charme - in terms of cuisine as well as artistic design. Executive chef Walter Leufen and gourmet chef Christian Jürgens mainly prepare dishes with products of local suppliers from Tegernsee valley like the char from the Wildbad Kreuth fishery.
In the gourmet restaurant Ueberfahrt chef de cuisine Christian Jürgens and its team will spoil you with unique gourmet creations and many other surprises. The well-known chef applies only the best culinary quality and attention to every single detail in his innovative menu.
The Italian restaurant Il Barcaiolo was awarded with 15 Gault Millau points in 2011. Executive chef Walter Leufen serves his classic "cucina casalinga". In this manner the passionate chef enthusiasts his guests with homemade pasta in different variations.
In the restaurant Egerner Bucht you can look forward to regional cuisine, always prepared with selected products from the Alpine region. The highlight of this restaurant is the "Boot des Ueberfahrers": An exact replica of the boat of skipper Josef Hoess who opened the first "Ueberfahrt" inn on this site.
The Bayernstube stands - as its name implies - for traditional Bavarian hospitality, delicacies and dishes.
In summer as well as in winter the bar is the best place to be. Take your seat directly at the crackling fire of the chimney during the winter season or enjoy the panoramic view on the lake from the terrace during the summer season. Apart from that, you should definitely try one of the various homemade cocktail creations.
