History
The baroque palace was in 1670 and served for a number of noble families as a residence. From 1787 to 1817 counselor Carl Philipp Graf von Hardenberg lived in the property. In 1969 Christian Ludwig Graf von Hardenberg saved it from demolition. The descendant of the Hardenberg family built rebuilt the historic palace into an individual hotel which opened its doors to guests in 1970. Since 2005 Althoff Hotel & Gourmet Collection is operation the Fuerstenhof.
