Althoff Hotel am Schlossgarten, a member of the Leading Hotels of the World, is located in the palace garden of Stuttgart's city center next to the popular shopping mile Königsstraße. Consequently, the five-star hotel is an ideal starting point for cultural weekend activities in Stuttgart e. g. a visit of the Wuerttemberg State Theatre with its famous ballet and opera house, the National Gallery or the New and the Old Palace and just a few minutes walk away from the main station. Stuttgart's first Grandhotel was built in 1962 and belongs since 1998 to the Althoff Hotel & Gourmet Collection.
106 rooms and suites - some with panoramic views of the historic palace garden - are decorated in warm colours. The balcony of the Opera Suite, the largest hotel suite with a size of 75 square meters, offers a magnificient view of the park and the opera.
For conferences and meetings four combinable salons with a maximum size of 198 square meters provide sufficient space for up to 150 people. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, modern conference technology and a high-speed Wi-Fi internet connection.
The location with view to the palace garden provides the three different restaurants in the summer as well as in the winter with a special flair. All restaurants have terraces and balconies with view to the palace garden.
In the excellent Schlossgarten Gourmet restaurant Bernhard Diers which is awarded with one Michelin star, 18 Gault Millau points and 3.5 Feinschmecker "F" chef de cuisine Bernhard Diers serves innovative menus from his great cuisine.
In the Vinothek, chef de cuisine Markus Knölle prepares Asian and Mediterranean dishes in the open show kitchen. Apart from that, guests have the possibility to enjoy the view of our Cafe am Schlossgarten, a classic coffee house, and of the John Cranko lounge offering American bar-cocktail culture.
